The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is back in Dartmouth for the second time on Sunday 25th March and needs local people to come together and show their support by entering now at www.sportrelief.com
As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives – so it’s time to dust off those trainers and enter right now. Places are up for grabs for distances of 1, 3 or 6 miles.
Based at Tone’s Dartmouth Leisure Centre, the Dartmouth Mile will be run outside in the playing fields area and is set to be an incredible event. Entrants don’t have to be sporty to take part, but can choose to complete 1, 3 or 6 miles knowing that all the money raised will help to change the lives of people living unimaginably tough lives right here on our doorstep, across the rest of the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.
The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Dartmouth is back and it’s your time to shine. From teeny-tots with their Mums and Dads, to super sprinters up against the clock there’s something for everyone on the big day. The last time this event ran in Dartmouth was some years ago. This time the day will be bigger and better – but we need your help to do that.
So come on Dartmouth, pull up your Sport Relief socks, enter the mile and do something amazing!
Before you run you can warm up with Sophie who will be taking a ZUMBA OLYMPICS! from 10am-10:45am, free of charge (donations to Sport Relief of course!). Zumba is the most popular fitness class at the moment; try it out in the main hall at the Leisure Centre. Don’t forget to reserve your space in advance. Not doing the run? You are still invited to attend. Bring the children to the supervised Bouncy Fun session
This is the first big sporting event in Dartmouth this year BEFORE THE OLYMPICS! Dartmouth Leisure Centre staff look forward to seeing you at this great event Olympic Event.
