Last Call for Olympic Super Teams entries at Totnes

Tuesday, 15 May 2012 Last 5 man entries requested before Friday for the event on Sunday 20th May when the Olympic Torch passes through.Event starts at 9am. The centre will be open for people to come and swim, play Badminton or Tennis for free after the Torch day super-teams event. Once the torch has passed through the town courts will be available 2-6 pm and the pool will be available to swim for free 2.30-4.30pm. Spaces are limited so booking for courts is required.

Blackbrook hosts Taunton year 5 Summer Olympics

Friday, 11 May 2012 The Taunton Learning Partnership is holding the Year 5 Summer Olympics Wednesday 23rd May at Blackbrook Pavilion. Schools participating will parade behind their own Olympic torches and participate in 5 indoor and 5 outdoor events. As a result of the event, Blackbrook Pavilion will be closed to the public until 4pm on 23rd May and fitness classes and junior activities have been amended accordingly.

Calling all ex Ivybridge Staff

Wednesday, 9 May 2012 his Saturday sees the first ever staff reunion at Ivybridge Leisure Centre.  As part of the centre's month of 25th Anniversary celebrations, a staff reunion has been arranged for Saturday 12th May at 6.30pm The event, which has been posted on facebook, has generated contact with some staff who were employed when the centre was first open. But not everyone is on facebook and event organiser Paula Bleasdale is hoping that those who are in the know will spread the word.
