Giant Camps

Our holiday camps are registered with Ofsted and meet their current guidance. This information details the guidelines we follow and ask you to meet.

Tone Leisure provides quality holiday camps and specialist activity programmes for children at Blackbrook Pavilion, Wellington Sports Centre, Wellsprings Leisure Centre, Ivybridge Leisure Centre, Quayside Leisure Centre - Kingsbridge, Dartmouth Leisure Centre and Totnes Pavilion and Totnes & District Swimming Pool.

Arriving and Departing

All children attending Giant Camps must complete an annual registration form and hold a Buzz membership card - these are available at reception. We ask that if any information changes during that year (e.g. address, contact numbers, medical condition) you let us know as soon as possible.

It is a requirement that your child is signed in and out each day by a named person on your child's registration form. If you require additional names to be added to the list, please provide us with a written letter and signature of the person collecting. This will be added to your child's registration form. In an emergency situation you can use the password system. If your child is unable to attend on the day, could you please let the centre know.

There is a charge of £5 per 15 minutes if a child is collected beyond their scheduled time slot. This is to cover additional staff costs.

Tone Leisure Refund Policy - Please note that our policy is to refund only when we are forced by uncontrollable circumstances to cancel or postpone an activity. Payment secures your place and is non-refundable.

If your child is taking part in trampolining, soft play sessions, rollerblading or using the bouncy castle, we ask that they wear socks. Non marking trainers are also essential.

If your child may require spare clothes, please make sure that they are in a named bag.

We will talk to you about any aspect of your child's behaviour that we are finding difficult or dangerous. If your child finds particular situations difficult, please let us know.

Keeping Healthy

Refreshments - Water is available during the day. Children should bring with them a packed lunch including a drink and refillable water bottle. We are unable to provide any cooled storage areas for lunches or snacks, so please could lunch boxes or insulated cool bags include freezer pads. We have an increasing number of children who suffer with an allergy to nuts. We would prefer that your child does not bring nuts or nut products for lunch or as a snack, but if this is unavoidable, could you please let the supervisor know.

For further advice about healthy packed lunches, please ask the supervisor for an information sheet.

Qualified First Aiders are on site at all times.

During the summer months, your child will be taking part in activities outside. Please provide them with a sun hat and sun protection cream. If they are unable to apply this themselves, please complete the consent form to enable us to apply it for them. Some activities will involve children going outside whatever the weather, please check the centres programmes and supply clothing appropriate to the activities.

If your child is taking any medication, please list on the registration form. If your child needs to take medication while at Giant Camp, a consent form must be completed. All medication must be given to the supervisor in its original packaging with the prescribing label intact. If the administration of medication requires technical/ medical knowledge, please contact Ali Cottey (01823 273085) as training from a health professional will need to be provided prior to the child's first day.

Sickness - Please make sure we have your up to date contact numbers on our records in case your child is unwell. Please do not bring your child to any Giant activity when unwell, or return within 48 hours after any stomach complaint.
