Ivybridge Silver Jubilee 30th April 2012

Tone Leisure and Ivybridge Leisure Centre will be celebrating the centre’s 25^th Anniversary on 30^th April 2012. Events are planned throughout May culminating in a Giant Childrens’ party on Sunday 27^th May. Members of the public are being invited to contribute any old photos that they may have taken at the centre over the last 25 years to be part of a visual display that is being put up for the period of the celebration. Staff who have worked at the centre over the last 25 years are also being contracted for a Staff reunion evening on Saturday 12^th May.

Justine Foster, Leisure Facilities manager for Tone said:

 “It’s wonderful to be able to celebrate Ivybridge‘s Silver Jubilee this year which is already so full of notable occasions. We are hoping to involve the community in our month of celebration and will be publishing a “Calendar of Events” in the centre in the near future.  I hope that everyone who has photos of the centre will be willing to loan them for the occasion and I’d like to extend my invitation to all ex members of staff to come and join us on Saturday 12^th May. Let us know if you can come via facebook or reception.”

“We would like to thank our loyal members for their continued support. We will be providing them with a small memento for the occasion.”
