Dartmouth Leisure Centre, managed by social enterprise Tone, is holding a special open day on Saturday 10th September.
The day is planned to give both adults and children the opportunity to try out new activities and classes free of charge.
There will also be fun and entertainment for the smaller ones, with Face Painting, Bouncy Castle and Soft Play all available from 10.30am
Adults can also take part in 2 free fitness classes running during the morning – Zumba, the popular Latin dance fitness craze or Pump, a serious class designed to sculpt those muscle groups.
Richard Darch, Centre Manager for Tone said:
“We like to offer one or two chances a year for people to come in and see what we have to offer. It may introduce them to a new hobby or sport, or we may be able to give them information regarding our Access to Leisure scheme for example, which they may not have known about up to this point. The idea is for a family fun day out.”
Throughout the summer holiday period Tone’s Giant Camps are running; full day supervised activities for children aged 4-14 years. More information can be accessed from the website at http://www.toneleisure.co.uk/timetables/dartmouth
(choose Giant Camps from timetable drop down box to view main activities of the week).
From now until the end of August, Dartmouth is also offering Badminton Court hire on Thursday and Friday evenings from 8pm at 50% off. That’s half price court hire for Badminton at Dartmouth throughout the holiday period until the end of August.
Members are being encouraged to refer to the website now for timetable and programming information.
Richard: “As a social enterprise, one of our aims is to work for the benefit of both people and planet. That means cutting down on the volume of printed literature we produce. We ask our members and customers to check online for programme information and to become a fan on Facebook so as to keep track of day to day happenings.”
