SEARCH FOR A STAR

Following the runaway success of their October event where South Hams Indoor Bowls Club at Tone Leisure’s Quayside Leisure Centre held open house during half term to encourage young people to try their hand at the game of indoor bowls, the club is repeating the opportunity during February Half term.

 The “Can you be a Star?” promotion offers FREE Teen Try Outs on Tuesday 16th February and Thursday 18th February 3.45-5.15pm and Saturday 20th February 2.00 – 4.00pm.

 The result of the October campaign was the launch of a junior section for the club that meets monthly on a Saturday afternoon.

John Sims, Bowls Club Chair, said:

“I am delighted that the young people of Kingsbridge are prepared to try new sports and experiences. Indoor Bowls is growing younger nationally and it is great to see that reflected here in the South Hams. I would urge those interested in taking part to book their place early.”

Suitable for all ages and abilities (wheelchair users are also welcome) all equipment will be provided free of charge. Trainers or flat shoes are required for the sessions.
