Big Day at Wellsprings

Sunday 4th September will be a big day at Wellsprings Leisure Centre, one of Tone’s flagship sites in Taunton, when the “Walk with Us” Family Walk event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support will be setting off from the site at 10.30am.

Louise Bulmer, Tone’s Active Lifestyles Officer said;

“We are holding two walks on the day, a shorter walk of approximately 30 minutes and a longer one lasting approximately one hour. The short walk will be accessible for prams/ wheelchairs and pushchairs and dogs are welcome on leads. Here is a chance to raise money for a worthy charity by enjoying a relaxing, social event. Sponsorship forms will soon be available from the centre homepage on the website at http://www.toneleisure.co.uk Tone is hoping to get 100 people to participate in the sponsored walk as it is Macmillan’s Centenary year. Each walker will be given a commemorative Macmillan Centenary pin badge.”

On the same day, Wellsprings Leisure Centre is holding its Autumn Open Day where youngsters can come along and try out any of the fantastic activities on offer, for free. Activities range from pre-school Dance & Ballet to Judo, Cheerleading to Trampolining, Go-Karting to Socatots, Circus Skills to Tae Kwon Do.  (Some age restrictions apply) There are also some special offers only available on the day of the event.
